Marc Cottyn - President of the Board

Marc Cottyn is Attorney-at-Law who for the last few years has been strongly connected with Poland due to his law firm in Warsaw. He has been rendering legal assistance in the different areas of law mainly to companies and businessmen investing in Poland. This experience allowed him to get a wide knowledge and overview not only of Polish legal matters but also of the economy and local market. In addition, he had the opportunity to cooperate with representatives of Belgium as well as Polish authorities and businessmen. These relationships and contacts have been maintained and further developed.
Marc is a founding partner of COTTYN Law Firm in Belgium and he has personally supervised the foundation of the COTTYN office in Warsaw as well as the development of COTTYN’S brand in Poland. This successful Polish project has been the key driver to open other international COTTYN offices in Kiev, Bratislava, Vienna and Prague. Marc Cottyn is Chairman of Juris Consult Düsseldorf and member of the Board of E.E.S.V. Lex Fori.  He is also an active member of several business related organisations a.o. VOKA (Chamber of Commerce of Oost-Vlaanderen).
He is also actively involved in social activities. This allows him to support different actions and meet influential people and personalities from various fields such as education, sports and music. He is also strongly involved in education both as a lecturer - a.o. at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel - as  the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SGR 19 Dender (37 schools). 

Jaroslaw Nowicki - Vice President of the Board

General Manager for Brussels Airlines Poland since January 2002.
Brussels Airlines is the Belgian airline that offers the widest choice of flights to and from its base in Brussels Airport. The group has around 3000 employees and 51 aircraft that operate some 300 flights daily, connecting Brussels - “the Capital of Europe” to some 70 premium European and African airports.
Managing Brussels Airlines organization in Poland for over eight years, he has ensured the company is positioned as a professional, high quality and unique airline with the highest levels of customer service to its passengers. The branch office successfully reaches its local market and business targets, ensuring that ethical, fiscal, legal, governmental and social rules are met in a transparent way.
Twelve years within industry (business travel & airlines) confirms his ability to develop and maintain win-win relationships with travel trade and business partners, travellers, airports, governments, ministries, etc.

Elzbieta Strojny - Treasurer

Managing director of DORIES ARIA. Graduate of Warsaw School of Economics /Executive Master HEC Paris and Business Trainers School TROP. She has a 10 year work experience in multinational corporations (hotels/FMCG) in sales and client service. She specialized in business counseling, sales and management trainings since 1999. She has become an expert in building new business models based on key B2B clients’ opinion surveys. She has written several articles in the Harvard Business Review and SGH’ Notebooks. She is fluent in French and can communicate in English and Russian.

Patryk Depta - Member of the Board

He is a young Polish-Belgian entrepreneur, who lived in Belgium for over 15 years.
He has Polish and Belgian nationality, is bilingual (Polish-Dutch), speaks fluently English and has a basic knowledge in French.
He finished IT studies in Belgium, and started his career path in a financial institution.
Later on, got the opportunity to step into the FMCG international markets. Where worked for a significant Belgian company, being mainly responsible for purchases from Poland, grown into a management function becoming head of the import-export department.
During his duties, Patryk also ran for several years his own small consulting and trade company DP Trade Solutions.
Involvement in various Belgian-Polish projects and their success convinced him to come back to Poland end of 2008.
Now, back in Poland, Patryk fully focused himself on his company, advising and assisting Belgian SME's from diverse sectors interested in Poland.
After his comeback, Patryk got also involved in the public life sphere sharing his valuable experience gained in Belgium.

Andrzej Dominiewski - Member of the Board

He studied at the Warsaw School of Economics where he obtained a master degree in economics and a major in business administration and marketing.
Between 1984 and 1992 he was employed as a Assistant Director in Elektrim S.A. In 1992 he joined Tenneco Automotive Europe NV. as a Sales & Marketing Director for Central and Eastern Europe. He was responsible for after-market activity of Tenneco Automotive in this area as well as for coordinating the distribution and OE initial contacts.
In 2001 he established A.D Expert - consulting company specialized in business consulting, restructuring companies in Central & Eastern Europe, and adjusting customers business to new challenges in market economy and globalization processes.
In 2006 Mr. Dominiewski joined Cross International, HR consulting agency. His responsibilities at Cross International are the management of the Warsaw Office, the coordination of business development in CEE and sales and consultancy for the CEE market.

Mik Kuczkiewicz - Member of the Board

Born and raised outside of Poland, but in a Polish family, Mik Kuczkiewicz has always felt a deep attachment to Poland and to its history, culture, traditions. He spent a significant part of his life  in Belgium, where he went to school and studied, first in Antwerp, then Brussels, and finally Louvain/Leuven. He graduated in Law ( UCL-1975), and subsequently followed many additional courses, including Postgraduate Business Studies (ULB- 1984), and INSEAD (1995). He did his military service as NCO in the Belgian Paratroop Regiment (1st Battalion-Diest). Started working in Insurances, first as a broker and later as an underwriter, and spent overall 12 years in this sector, both in domestic Belgian insurances, as well as in the whole of Western Europe, including Lloyds of London.
Later moved to Consulting, essentially in Organisation and Human Resources  Management, where he has spent in total 22 years, working for two major Consulting firms - Mercuri Urval and Hay Management Consultants, later to become Hay Group - in this last, has worked first in Belgium and later in Poland]. In 1996 he founded Hay Group Poland, and since then has managed it with considerable success. Today the Company employs 45 people, whereof 35 consultants. Hay Group Poland is considered to be one of the leading HR Consulting firms in Poland. He is also active as a lecturer at a number of prestigious MBA programs such as the Business School of the Warsaw Polytechnic, SGGW etc… He is a member of the Polish Institute of Directors, and presently active as Board Member of the BBC.

Annick Van Hool - Member of the Board

She obtained her BA degree in Teaching in Heverlee (Belgium) and MA in Archaeology and Art History at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and completed her education with a Post University Program in Business Administration at VLEKHO (Brussels). Presently she is a student at the University of Reading (UK) the College of Estate Management where she studies a Masters in Real Estate.
Her career spans a more than twenty years international career in the public and private business sectors. She has an extensive experience in exploring new markets, strong macro-economic strategic background and focus on financial aspects of the business. Her career has guided her on long term assignments in Poland, the US and the Netherlands a.o. for the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AT&T (in Belgium and the US), KPN Telecom (the Netherlands and Poland).
In the last few years Annick Van Hool has been an independent consultant for several Belgian companies interested in entering the Polish market; she has also lead companies as interim manager to start up, lead and re-organise companies. She focuses on Real Estate. Her mother tongues are Dutch and French. She is fluent in English and Polish and has a basic knowledge in German.
