The Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Poland has been located in the reconstructed Mniszchów Palace in the centre of Warsaw since 1962. The Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium houses a diplomatic and a consular sections as well as the Office of the Brussels Capital Region.
The Office of the Brussels Region at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium assists all Brussels-based companies in their projects in Poland (export, investment, search for a business partner, etc.).
It also assists the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region in its relations with Polish local authorities (mainly with the Voivodeship of Mazovia). Moreover, it promotes the territory of the Brussels Region as a place for investment dor dynamic Polish companies.
Flanders Investment and Trade is the economic representation of Flanders abroad, well represented in the major trading nations. In Poland, Flanders Investment and Trade holds offices in Warsaw and Poznań. The leading sectors of the Flemish economy include the chemicals, construction, life sciences and logistics sectors along with the dynamic high-technology sector.
Flanders is also a region of great creativity, with Antwerp as the undisputed fashion capital of Belgium, a booming music and film industry, a range of top designers and a number of world-class companies in the events sector.
The General Representation of the Government of Flanders is situated in Dom Dochodowy on Ujazdowskie in Warsaw. The Representation is situated in the political and diplomatic center of the Polish capital. The agency Flanders Investment and Trade (FIT) has offices on the very same location. FIT supports Flemish companies that want to develop activities in Poland and Polish companies that have investment plans in Flanders. In Poland FIT also has an office in Poznan.
The General Representation of the Government of Flanders is the diplomatic point of contact of the Government of Flanders in Poland and in the 3 Baltic Republics. The Representation was opened on 15 October 2007 and is part of the Belgium Embassy. The General Representative of the Government of Flanders in Warsaw looks after all competences of the Flemish Government, with the exception of investment and foreign trade promotion. The Representative is a member of the diplomatic staff of the Embassy. One can turn to the Representation for all kinds of information about Flanders and about the bilateral relations between Flanders and the 4 countries in the jurisdiction of the Representation. The main task of the Representation is putting Flanders on the map through focused communication; detecting cooperation opportunities; reporting about relevant political and other developments, consulting and supporting partners in the region.
Trade between Wallonia, the southern Region of Belgium, and Poland has been booming since the accession of Poland to the EU. To support this trade, the Polish office of Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (AWEX) informs Polish companies about business opportunities in Poland.
