Katarzyna has been appointed the General Manager of the Belgian Business Chamber in June 2017. Previously she was the Head of the BBC, as well as the Project Coordinator. Her main interest is PR for NGO’s. While working abroad, she co-organised and took part in various international projects concerning business and culture.She is an experienced translator/interpreter and language tutor. Her work concerns Dutch, English, German and Polish for foreigners.
Katarzyna did her master’s degree studies in German philology and Dutch philology at Warsaw University and additionally at Universiteit Gent in Belgium. She is also expanding her coaching skills to become an intercultural trainer at SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research). Her interests include intercultural relations and communication, minimalism and couchsurfing.
Jakub holds a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań) and a Master’s degree in International Relations - specialisation in Public Diplomacy (Collegium Civitas in Warsaw). He is also a graduate of the IX Edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats Programme, organised by the European Academy of Diplomacy in Warsaw. He has gained extensive experience in visits and events management, realising numerous cultural and public diplomacy projects both while working as an intern at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Canberra and also while working at the New Zealand Embassy in Warsaw.
Jakub is interested in diplomatic protocol, the Asia-Pacific region and country branding. His Master’s thesis topic was “The influence of the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics on Australia’s international image”. In his free time, he enjoys reading books, playing video games and gardening. He is a big fan of the American sports leagues: MLB, NFL and NBA.
From September to December 2016 Joanna was an intern at the Belgian Business Chamber. In January 2017 she was offered the Office Assistant position, which she currently holds.
